Fear (of the Unknown) is a U.S.-only single written and recorded by English rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees and produced by Stephen Hague. It was released in late as the second U.S. single from the band's 10th studio album, Superstition. It was not released in the UK and was the only Siouxs.

The last remotely interesting single Siouxsie & the Banshees ever released, 's "Fear (Of the Unknown)" is unfortunately primarily of interest as sad proof of how this once-imaginative group was now reduced to sniffing around unsuitable new chart trends. Stephen Hague's uninspired and almost entirely electronic backing track sounds like a Happy Mondays reject, and Junior Vasquez's remix on.

But then fear takes control -- fear of the unknown Imagines two complete strangers Who suspect they were meant to be Both in need of love and affection Yet their suspicions prevent something heavenly Fear takes control -- fear of the unknown Aware of what will hurt you You're prepared to remain this way So sad yet safe with your afflictions.
